Times have changed and we're in the technology age now. iPhones and Facebook. HD-TV and Blu-Ray instead of the good ol' VCR. But some places.... still have people that are living their life as if it were the 20th century.... we don't know much about Booker... he never met his mother as she died giving him birth, his father worked 7 days a week, from before the sun rose to after it settled. He owns a small service station in the middle of a thin ribbon of highway between here and there. Booker Sr. died when his son was only 16 years old. He left all he had to his only son: the station, their home, a little money. Booker grew up fast and married a beautiful woman two years later. They lived and loved for 26 short years. Then she left too. Sickness took her before her time, but Booker continued on. A simple life. Work and home. Little effort was spent on much else with the exception of his keeping the station and the house well looked after.
As the story goes, Booker's day to day at the service station, brings him into contact with many travelers. A nervous 40 something man in the midst of an abusive relationship with the girlfriend he just can't leave. A smoldering hot & sexy girl juggling so many men she can't keep up, or be satisfied. And the 20 something young man who has it good. A great job, great pay, a beautiful new wife, and a retirement plan, but is dead inside. Living a practical life instead of following his passion, he drives to work everyday wondering why he should even live. If he only had a break!
